Individual Gifts

Matching Gifts
You can dramatically increase the impact of your gift if you work for an organization that will match charitable contributions. For further information, please contact your organization's personnel department or office manager.
Memorial & Commemorative Gifts
Memorial gifts are honorary tributes that perpetuate the memory of the life and work of a special individual who has passed away. Commemorative gifts honor and celebrate a special person or occasion.
An acknowledgement letter will be sent to the honoree or the honoree's family at your request. Please include a note with your gift stating whether it is memorial or commemorative. Please include the honoree's name and contact information.

Stock, Bonds & Other Securities
Contact Lisa S. Dibble, Director, at (434) 846-3311 or ldibble@gatewayprogram.com to make a gift of stock, bonds and other securities. Please be prepared to provide the name of your broker, the name of the stock and the number of shares you are gifting to The Gateway. Please be aware that in order to avoid capital gains tax, you must transfer shares intact to The Gateway.
Endowed Gifts
By establishing an endowed fund, you ensure that the principal of your gift is maintained in perpetuity. At the same time, a portion of the income generated by the principal of your gift is distributed annually to support The Gateway. Please contact Lisa S.
